What we build
The system behind a web app or a hybrid app: accounts, records, uploads, search, and the jobs that should run when nobody has the screen open. Scheduled work, imports, and the index an assistant reads all belong here.
Serverless, for this studio, means the product keeps running without a platform hire. It does not mean an unbounded set of cloud accounts, and it does not mean we hide the runtime from you. You get the source, the project, and a path to see what a request did.
Automation is a large part of that work. Data tasks that run overnight, imports and syncs between systems, reports, and reminders happen on their own, built with Step Functions, KERNSTACK workflows, or the stack you already have. People see the result and the exceptions, instead of starting every run by hand.
We bring more than a decade of experience building on AWS and other hyperscalers. That is why we can judge when a serverless setup here is the right call, and when your existing AWS landscape is the constraint we should build within.
The AWS services we work with most: compute and orchestration with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions; data and storage with DynamoDB, S3, and AWS Glue; delivery and operations with CloudFront, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
The platform
When the shape fits, we build this on KERNSTACK, the Software Lifecycle Cloud we built, where compute, data, search, and inference live in one project. We design the backend with you, ship it, and leave it in an account you control. If KERNSTACK is the wrong fit for a constraint you already have, we say so in the scope instead of forcing the stack.
Typical starting points
- An app whose backend grew into servers nobody wants to maintain.
- Imports, scheduled jobs, and search indexes that need to run reliably in the background.
- A new product that should start small and stay operable by a small team.
How the work runs
The backend is rarely a separate contract from the app. Splitting them is how products grow a second vendor and a second login. The engagement treats the screen and the system as one delivery, with a preview you can call before release.
What you leave with
A project in your name, jobs you can inspect, and costs that belong to that one project. We can stay to operate it. We can also leave, because the point of the shape is that leaving is possible.
Questions we hear first
Do we need our own platform or DevOps hire? No. That is the point of this shape: the product keeps running without a platform team watching a cluster.
Are we locked into KERNSTACK? The project lives in an account you control, with the source handed over. If the platform is the wrong fit for a constraint you already have, we say so before we build on it.
Can we see what the system did? Yes. Jobs and requests are inspectable; we do not hide the runtime from you.
